Bappa Rawal the founder of the maharawal dynasty of Mewar can easily be compared to Charles Martel who saved Europe from the Arab attack. In a similar effort, Bappa along with his contemporary Pratihar and Rashtrakuta kings saved India from Arabs. Its a pity he is not celebrated by the Indians as other great warriors.
